Fairfield officials, project leaders, and community members gathered to celebrate the grand opening of the Pallet Shelter at Mission Samoa.
The pallet shelter program provides a temporary and safe economic bridge for up to 18 homeless individuals seeking to regain self-sufficiency and restore hope in themselves and their future through stability.
Mission Samoa conducted a “soft opening” in September and enrolled 10 individuals in the program.
This project aligns with City efforts to increase availability and access to emergency shelter and permanently reduce homelessness.
